Dustin Pedroia was the "short man" who was told several times in his
life that he is to small to play in the major leagues. Last year in
April Dustin Pedroia almost believed that, as he struggled in his first
month in the big leagues. But Pedroia came back that year in 2007 and
won the Rookie Of the Year award along with helping the Red Sox win
their 2 World Series in 4 years. Pedroia started the 2008 year off
fantastic as he was awarded a spot on the 2008 All-star game for the
first time. Pedroia just kept on impressing at the plate and in the
field, with his flops off the border of the infield and outfield while
he caught the ball in his glove. Pedroia led the league in hits (213)
for the season and also was led in doubles (54) and was second in
multi-hit games(61) and runs with 118. Before he won the ultimate
prize he also won a gold glove for his outstanding defense and a silver
slugger for his great bat this off-season. 2- year Red Sox veteran
Dustin Pedroia is the MVP of the AL for the 2008 season and he deserves
it.
